Welcome to my Paradise: The Gili Islands

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of a whirlwind visit to the incredibly beautiful island, Gili Air: one of the three Gili Islands west of Lombok, Indonesia.

Gili Air is a place like no other - days turn into weeks and you could end up never wanting to leave. Think: Bean bags on the beach, bonfires, magic mushroom shakes (yeah, I tried it - you only live once), no cars (just bicycles and horse carriages), snorkelling, beautiful sunsets, amazing (fresh, local) food, the friendliest locals, a positive hippie vibe, and everyone just having a chilled out time. There's a beauty and rawness here that gets under your skin. It was like being on another planet. In a nutshell, if Bob Marley was an island this would be it for sure.
